Aquaponics and Self Watering Container Garde in Jeddah update 08 Sept 2011

Here are some very fresh pictures of my indoor and outdoor Aquaponics plus my garden in Self Watering Container pots. For my Aquaponics, I am growing Ampalaya(Bittermelon), Basil, Bell Pepper, Swiss Chards, numerous flowering plants, Sweet Potatoe, Watermelon, Tomatoes, Celery, Brocolli, Cilantro, Pepper, Kangkong with Tilapia, Goldfish and Pangasius. I started my journey in late January 2011. I live in Saudi Arabia. As a supplement, I am using Fermented Plant/Fruit Juice and spraying my plants twice or three times a week. Fish does not mind.

(above) Flowering plants and tomatoe seedlings in my flood & drain Aquaponics system indoors powered by a single adult tilapia. for the the grow lights I am using blue and red tube lights and one fluorescent bulb, on in the day and off in the night, the water is also pumped only during the day and off in the night

(above) a few month old flowering plants, growth is slow because of the lack of light, i can't take them outside because they will die from 40+ temperature so I rather have them indoors in my AP system
